I need a program which can convert a bitmap into either a matrix or program file (with a bunch of PlotOn's) but I cant find any such program which works properly and my attemps to make my own have failed either because I dont know enough or just because my computer is on the fritz right now.

please help me! :( :( :(

Probably there isn't one made.
But it would be quite easy to make on any smart programming language, I guess Chef used it in his Dungeon's game to make a huge photo in the game.

Like I previously mentioned my computer lost the file formatting on drive D, and while I did get it working again every time I try to run a visual basic program it tries to re-install MS Office ( ), so I asked my Computer Science Teacher how to do it in C++ and he didn't know how ( ) so now I'm stuck and the picture I have is much more complex than the one in Death Trap Dungeon.

any help would be appreaciated. :(

tried it, I cant get it to transfer to the calc, is there some special way to do this? If I could get it to work it would be just what I need. :)

i used some pict editor way back in the day (like bmp2cat maybe it was it)
but i dont think it could load files but when you drew it would create source (rather stupidly, ie not deleting it or creating fline's) but it would work with 15 min of redrawing the image on your computer
but like i said before it wouldnt be at all optimized

if your going for optimization draw (text) a "8" then draw a fline from one hole in the eight to the other to create a 5X3 square in 2 commands
but theres gotta be better ways of doing it than that

I just need something to get it onto the calc, then I can use my compression prog to make it smaller.

There is the painful way of just putting it in using f-lines and plot ons and things like that. Time consuming, yes, but once you have it done you can save it as a pic and compress it any way you want.

Well, without the sarcasim, how are you planing on doing a greyscale picture for a BASIC game? I was under the impression that the program you need it for is basic and not asm. Last I knew you can't even really save a greyscale pic on the pic mem of the calc for later recall.

I'm assuming this is for the AFX then?

Also, do you really want those spots in the sky like that or no?

not sure yet, on the calc it makes it look kind of like parchment but I might remove them.

by the way I know what it looks like on the calc because I was able to view it with sysxpl, but this does not let me save it to the graph or as a picture. :(
