I want to ask all classpad programmers try to make a convertor for PDF files which convert PDF to a simple and small text files and making an special reader for classpad.
I think it is very necessary and usefull to have a PDF reader.
please write your ideas and suggestions in this topic.

I have done something before.
You can make a SELECT ALL of your PDF
and COPY/PASTE to a word ducument.
Then by a program which is written in C, you can
make it ready to be transfered to CP MANAGER.

but i think we need an special convertor for PDF files. not just a copy and paste.
and also a reader which show the text exactly like a PDF reader. I mean it should be able to jump to the pages, showing the paragraphs correctly and jumping to the links and any thing else that a reader can do.

I think we can use open source readers but then the size of a PDF file would be a big problem and making reader an unusable add-in.so we should make a convertor to convert the files and reduce the file size by deleting the unnecessary informations like font(because we haven't got different fonts in classpad) and maybe pictures and any unusable information.

for the convertor we can use open source programs but for the reader we need and special format so an special add-in should developed too.

It is a great idea!
I wished and aimed to use my CP
as a eBookReader before I get it!

Yes. this is a good idea too and i agree with you , PDF is difficult. but we should try.
I just made a convertor for txt files that make some txt files without any new line character so we can copy and
paste in classpad emulator (it was behnoud idea).

If i know how to make a .fls file then i would made a nice convertor that add 0x0D character (return character in classpad) at the end of line so then we could read files naturally.

and for PDF files we can use "Save as Text" and then convert Text file.(I use Adobe Reader 7.0)
