Can anyone tell me if there is driver for usb connection so I can connect my fx-9860G to my Mac using the supplied usb cable? If so, where can I download it from. I have a PC in the house, but I refuse to use it unless it is absolutely necessary.

Thanks for any replies. :banghead: :iwstupidl:

I guess you googled more as i did on this subject but it seems there is no Mac software for the casio so you have three options as far as i can think off:

1. Use an sd card to transfer files
2. Use yourself as connection (as in typing the code in the machine)
3. Use a decent :P pc

Hmmm, I wonder if using Virtual PC for the Mac, then FA-124 will work? :D

Hmmm, I wonder if it would be worth the cost of MS Virtual PC and Windows operating system to connect a $79.00 calculator to my Mac? :die:

definition:

"A mac is a pretty coloured 1500$ and "state-of-the-art" designed box that you buy to put songs on your $250 iPod."

use your PC to communicate to the calc, is cheaper.

bo67-

A TI89 Titanium connects to your Mac running OSX with no additional hardware or cost. As a matter of fact, the connectivity software for the TI89 Titanium on Mac OSX is better than for Windoesn't. Perhaps you should just change calculators.

I don't feel badly about giving that advice in this forum, since others here seem to feel free to tell you to change what kind of computer you use.

that's a TI forum?.. Buying a brand new TI89ti because you dont want to use your PC is absurd!... This is a solution resembling that: You are too lazy to cut your fingernails each week, then you cut off your entire hand to solve the problem... <_< . Pretty good. Or you don't take a fly from NY to Rome because the planes fall.. and you prefer to go by sea (btw, you can be drowned). Come on dudes.. you're flooded with a cup of water <_<

PD: Comparing CP with the O.S 3+ CPLua.. Now the 89ti is a 90% piece of junk.

I have used a PC to upgrade the operating system on my 9860G. I have used the TI Connect in the past, and it is great software for Mac. I wish Casio offered software for Mac similar to TI.

It will take more than a calculator for me to downgrade to a PC.

Also, I wish my Mac, a Quad G5, only cost $1,500.00.

Thanks for the replies.

Hmmm, I don't know why CASIO didn't make a Mac version of FA-124. They did have FA-123 for the Mac though...

Also, don't get a TI. I mean look at this dumb video:
http://www.youtube.c...M...ted&search=
The video is soooo fake. This shows that people using TI suffer from mental deficiency, thinking their so cool because with a TI-84 they can pretend to hack computers with it. Losers....
