Hello, I just like to tell everyone that CASIO now has their own forum to give support for the fx-9860 SDK, graphing calculators and the ClassPad series. I think I'm the first to post in their forums! This might be a great way to contact CASIO Japan directly! They only allow English posts. Here's the link:

Are you really?

Anyways, I contacted CASIO Headquarters in Japan directly about various stuff. About the forums, they said:

Regarding CASIO EDUCATIONAL FORUM, Yes, Casio looks at it for reference as it may be able to improve our products in the future. But it's a place for members to share information and not a place for Casio to receive inquiries.

Please kindly read the following on the homepage.

[About CASIO EDUCATIONAL FORUM]

- CASIO EDUCATIONAL FORUM provides a place for members to share information and views with each other.

[Precautions]

Please do not use the CASIO EDUCATIONAL FORUM to send inquiries to CASIO. Use the following contact information when you need to contact CASIO for specific information. ????‚?š????‚??“world customer service page????‚?š??

So they do look at the forums, but they don't participate in them. It's intended for customers and members to talk each other. They created these forums so they can improve their products for educational purposes.

I also asked if I can have some information about the LCD driver for the fx-9860G:

We asked our R&D if the DISPBIOS of the fx-9860G could be disclosed, but they say they can't. We are sorry but we can't disclose technical data of our products/parts to our individual customers. Sorry.

Also our R&D team is not supposed to advise directly to individual customers about technical information of our products.
In principle, we are not in the stance of announcing technical data of our products to our customers.

Then they kindly end the email. It seems I gonna have to figure out this LCD myself...

Thanks kucalc.
I opened a thread for reporting fx-9860G bugs. Please do not add suggestions for the OS - just report bugs.
Maybe someone else wants to create a new thread for discussing urgent needed OS features...

I have contacted CASIO and forwarded your information in your thread to the R&D and they will look into it soon. They will hopefully have these bugs fixed in the next OS update. If anyone knows of more bugs, please say them in the thread above.
