Improving UCPF

I have a couple suggestions, but I need the opinions of the members here.
1. International category? - What if we added a a international category to provide support in other languages such as German, French, Spanish, etc. This would require also an addition of a new staff with the appropriate moderators for each language. I know Spanish and Latin, so if it's a good idea we can start with that.

I'll probably steer clear of this project, given that the only languages that i know i only know part of (bar english).

The forum could be divided into more specific sections..?So, no one wants to be a moderator? I'm thinking about installing a new English moderator. I live on a different hemisphere than most of you guys.
As for ideas for improving the UCPF, no one else has any?
Maybe something like:
General talk:
- Site news, help and suggestions for improvement.
- Introduce yourself
- General talk
- International help
Software:
- C and C++ development
- BASIC scripts
- Share your code and projects
- Idea discussion
Hardware/embedded systems:
- Calculator hardware
- Assembly programming
- Electronics

"Ajuda para a comunidade portuguesa."Lol, cool. I just need you to translate this to Portuguese, "Support for the Portuguese community."
You'll have to edit the title yourself, it seems.

@E_net4: Thanks.
@All members: Would you guys be okay if I overlayed the forum with a portal? Specifically this one: http://phpbbireland....orum/portal.php It would make the posting of news possible. With that, I could post news to recognize and give honor to currents projects that current members are working on. It might strengthen the community and get peoples attentions to projects which they may find interesting.

I think it would make it easier if you want to expand later.Ok, I've been thinking about it. If we split the forums into more categories, would it make the forum more harder to navigate?
A "general discussion" board is also handy to have in each category. Right now, there are not enough members to have many more categories (those I suggested would work ok).

Ohhhh, ok. :oops: I thought you were talking about the "cool" emoticon. If you can find a decent sized pic of a XD emoticon, than I'll be happy to add it.But I asked for an "XD" emoticon! Is there any problem with it!?We do have the cool emoticon. 8-)
Good point. Do the rest of you guys concur with this?I think it would make it easier if you want to expand later.

Also, speaking of not enough members, we need to get more. I know that there are people out there who own a fx-9860G and would like to program it. It would be awesome to see a great variety of projects going on.

Yes we could. If you would like to make some, I think the maximum size is 90x90 pixels.Hint: Is there any possibility to have a small picture for each member rank?

Also: You could have got more creative ranks than just "Member" or "Moderator". How about "TI-Hater" for a person with more than 30 posts? =D

Yes, it'd be neat. I'm just thinking about what ranks to have and how many posts.I'm saying this because many forum makers do it. Also, it'd be neat.
Maybe for a TI-Hater, you could have a TI exploding or something.By the way, I'm not sure about the pics, could you hand me a few suggestions?

All other stuff was made with it too.
So, is there any TI-Hater?
Also, is there any swear filtering? If so, we also need to filter portuguese and spanish swear words.
EDIT: Forgot to give you another emote.

It was because my mum had her credit card stolen so we cancelled it. Internet could no longer draw money from it. We phoned up when we got a new card and they reinstated the internet. Only to find out the our modem needs to be reconfigured so we had to phone up the D-Link company so they could guide us through it XD.Hey, welcome back! And please, change "Moderator" to "Moderating Calc".
Something's written in the calc's screen. The first one who finds out the text wins a cookie! XD
