Square Root Function On Fx 115es

We input square root sign, 7, = but it just gives the little square root symbol and the number 7.

What are we doing wrong?

I don't have a FX-115ES but I think that when you enter roots it will simplify them (for instance 2√3+4√3 will give 6√3), so if you want to get an approximation, I think you have to input √7 then <span class=Shift' /> =

Press the MODE button and choose CALC to output the square root of 7 as 2.64575....
Press the MODE button and choose MATH to output the square root of 7 as √7
