I am a novice at this, I need to use programs that will allow me to input variables to figure angles of trangles and the areas. Also the chord lengths. if you know sheet metal and its complecs problems -- Now what calculator is the best for this? I have an older 855 but it does not work anymore.

Hello Tinner and welcome to the UCF. 
I suppose any calculator with BASIC programming capabilities would be sufficient. You just need a calculator that does trig right?

Try looking at the fx-9860. It's a pretty decent calculator with some trig support and has BASIC.
