Does anyone have an idea of how to go about doing trapezoidal or simpson's rule on cp? I have never thought of doing that on calculator. I just do it with the old traditional method of pen and paper.However a year ten student approached me today and asked me to show him how to approximate area using those rule on a cp.I told him that i don't know but i'll ask guys from a cp forum about it. Your ideas will be appreciated.

I know this is about 8 months late, but I had to learn these for uni - so I put together a couple of apps in BASIC on the calc to do them.

They will be available in the File Sharing > Classpad related files > programs in Basic for CP300 once the admin's verify the files.

They will be listed as:
Simpson_1.0.rar (Simpson_1.1.rar too - same thing, but with auto-text wrapping added to equation results (for long equations))
TrapezdR_1.0.rar

They seem to producing perfect results according to my text book examples.
They've both been written with an emphasis on producing equation's at the end as well as answers - so students can see where the answer was derived (and so I don't have to think about it in my exams) - not just a final answer.
