There is a speed difference between the F-Line and Pxl commands. F-Line works faster, even if you are plotting one pixel (but if you are doing that, then use Pxl because it saves memory).

So always use F-Line unless you need to use the special Pxl functions.

And can someone test the theory 'Casio 9850 G is faster at graph mode than Casio 9850 GB Plus'?

a long while back (it ended about 6 months ago) morgan and i were ALWAYS arguing. i have to admit, i did troll him a bit, but he did it to me too. i can remember the admins closing our threads all the time because one of us had trolled the other in a perfectly reasonable discussion and flames would always result. I new it was only a matter of time before he (or at least someone like him) came back and started it up again with either me or someone else. There i go. i'm trolling him again. i'll shut up now.

yeh i want admin. and NOTHING (except maybe killer, simprobe and the other admins) is going to get in my way. wich is why i have decided to report any flaming, trolling, etc. etc. towards me or anyone else. i'm also going to report useless posts.

Take care: topic deviating away.

Morgan: you've been talking about these programs a long time ago, when will you do them?
Hope to see something of a class. B)

What's up with you guys??!!
The topic is discussing the games he told about.
If nothing is to be said, then just don't post!

*edit*
About the advertising thing, everyone who makes some new software for the calculators is welcome to tell about and let us try it.

Advertising? What advertising, I have better stuff to do than to make games!
This post does have a topic, in fact two, so get posting everyone!!!

P.S. Killer's going to kill me, I've done this before. (note the irony)

Also, in Locate mode, you can move the entire display up with the simple command:
" "

That's it, as long as you have previously done seven of those. (which creates quite a cool effect by doing:)

For 1->X to 7
" "
Next

Hope we can create some fast racing or scrolling games (and someone change Downhill Ski!!!)

and with the " " command, i think "" works just as well. my casio is on the other side of my room and i'm too lazy to get up and try it. :o

You have to leave the space in the quotes
On TI you don't, but there you have to type Disp "" :)

correction: you do no have to leave a space in the quotes on a AFX, but you do on a CFX.

ah afx (drooling)

is it possible to COMPILE basic programs and then run them? that would be faster than interpreting them.

my C skills aren't that good. (translation: the're nonexistant)

It's better, and easier, to translate the game to C or ASM by hand

Coverting to EXE / C code / ASM code is quite difficult cause you have to interperate mathematical functions and expressions, plus you have to make a library equivalent to all the functions available on-calc.. you would have to do everything with BCD numbers and stuff to ensure compatibility.. + much more stuff.. just too much work

rj, no offence but why are you always trying to diss me? What's your problem?

Anyway, why do you say A-Racer 3? I always remember Indy 2000 being the best but I can't find it on the Internet anywhere. Has anyone heard of the full version of this game (with a simple 99 levels and save game layout)?

About a while ago, there were many threads about the capacity of Matrix cells and locating pixels in the first line. Has anyone found anything useful like that? CFX can't make picture based graphics the size of say, Bomberman because of its uneven display (127x63) or symmetrical Locate programs (last line).

yeah but you can alsways chop off the last pixel or row.

there has been some progress on matrix image storage. there was a thread a while ago:
http://casiocalc.org...ct=ST&f=1&t=225

also you might be interested in the compression thread
