SINCE WHEN??? Wasn't the whole reason post counts in the free discussion forum enabled so that we could minimise the number of off topic posts in the main forum???

eeh.. that would be for LAMERS that post just to increase their post count then..

Anyway, from what I understand of Bob's post, is that the Polls are not updated right away.. or maybe I'm just way off here :P

but whenever i vote in a poll it shows up imeediately.

posts in the free discussion forum should be enabled, because its only a matter of time before the masses find out and start posting off-topic in the main discusion forum.

there should be another forum for "post garbage here"

and there should be a rule against posting just to increase your post count.

 Do you want to know a simple solution?

Stop whit that counting??

One guy should be a god for what is known and not for his number of posts?.

I agree.. another method ranking member would be nice

But for most members it gives an indication as to how active they are in the forum (so new members know who to turn to for help)

Isn't there a possibility to make more Groups?
Normally (and at this moment everyone) is in the group Members (see down your nick), but the moderators will then be able to transfer a member to another group, for example "Casio Gods".
Another option is to make groups for different categories. For example "Basic Programmers", "ASM" and so on.

Another idea I've seen in other forums, is to let ppl mark your posts. That in turn can give you a rank :)

not bad Ideas, personally, I'm happy with the current system (partially because I'm the number one poster right now) especially now that posts in the free discusion forum dont count, now posts only count when they are casio related, which I think is a much better way of rating people. mabey if we devided the forums posts into 3 diffrent sections we could more accurately display each members prefreneces. :)

 I agree that the post number it?s a cool way to ?view? who is active or not, but this doesn?t need to be a way to determine who is the ?best???

But anyway I thing that everyone on this forum knows that, the ?best? generally are elected to be one admins..... :) .....
