Hi,
I'm a newbie. I've been writing programs in Pascal for years and yesterday I found the small wonder AFX2 just by chance and purchased one after reading the messages in this forum and stuff from other sites, which I guess owned mostly by members here.
Well, I am not into math or physics as most of you are, I just want to kill time writing code. I started with some text routines, but the machine is awfully unkind about string manupilation. Another drawback is the lack of any way of accessing the memory directly.
** How can I store large text blocks? I tried the lists and matrices, but it is just awkard..
** What is the way of accessing the RAM by using the unit? Like PEEK & POKE ??
** Can I flash my TurboPascal exe files and run them on the AFX2 as they are? Does egavga.bgi work here?
Thanks in advance. I like here..Really..
Direct Access to Flash RAM, but how?

I once heard that you can't run turbo pascal progs on AFX
since they need and 386 or greater to run. They need newer instuctions.
I KNOW that you can't run Turboc Basic Progs.
You'll have to learn either C or Asm (I suggest you to learn ASM since it is easyer).

By my own experience you can't run a turbo pascal 7.0 program, no matter what compiler options you set...see huhn's post for alternatives.

Since you know the Pascal language you could learn C easily. I don't know Pascal but I've been told that everything was forbidden... well in C you can do what you want even horrible things...
You should use Turbo C 3.0 I've the French version of it but if you only use the makefile or command line (like me) it's not a problem...
