This is probably something i should know, but it is something i had a problem with the other day and need help with.
when the CFX is in hex mode (try Shift' />+MENU' />), how do i input the a,b,c,d,e,f?
right now i'm forced to do it via a very labourious guessing process (9+7=10, no that's not what i'm looking for)
entering hex characters

(Brazzucko style kidding kidding)
How it doesn't work?
Well, I tried it with mine and it works, and that's what the CFX manual says, have a look:
P.S. I know this is stupid, but make sure you're in HEX mode.

does 9+1=A in binary mode? i'm sure i'm in hex mode.
anyway, i type, for example, 9A+3 and it says 3 because 9*A(variable)+3=0+3=3
little help here?

your not hitting Alpha A are you... you should just hit the button coresponding to A without hitting Alpha.
