Are there some calc emulators?
I make some games in asm and don't want to install it every time i have a new change.
I want to save a time, patience and batteries...

no, for the moment !
But I have 2 advice for you :
1- Have you use Flash100, the last release ? the transfert time can be 15 s for 100000 octet, and it can be less if you have less data to transfer .
2- Try to use PC routins for execute your ASM program on your PC !

I hope that advice could help you ;)

hmmm... what kind of PC is yours? Have you selected the correct communication protocol in Flas100's options ? If you use Gcom you must select the Glink protocol else it won't work...

I didn't mean the GCom version but the version that links with the original casio link menu.
I tried it with both cable types but it didn't work :-(

Well you should upload gcom to your AFX with something else than Flash100 and then use the Glink protocol with flash100 and gcom.

Flah100 is really interesting only if you use Gcom with it else it is as fast as Flashcom...

Brazzucko: what happens exactly?

In another post I detailed all you have to do to use Flash100.

I've run into problems with Flash100 as well. I've got a desktop PC with Windows XP Pro, and the SB cable. I have no problem connecting normally to the calc through the normal link menu, but I cannot seem to connect using Gcomm. I switched the protocal appropriately and such, and I have the correct cable type selected because it works just fine normally. But somehow the Gcomm won't work for me. I get an error message on the computer saying that it didn't get a return message from the calc so transmission is terminated. I didn't do anything stupid like not having Gcomm in recieve mode or have the wrong protocol or comm number selected, because I checked everything four times.
On an even weirder note, every now and then the computer begins transmission for a few seconds, then stops, while other times it doesn't even seem to start. Any suggestions? Anyone else seeing what I am?

Well under w2k and XP the cable auto selection doesn't work so you must set it manually.

When using Gcomm act lik this:

In Flash 100 once you've selected the drives you want to send, push F5.

THEN in Gcomm push F2 (or put the cursor on receive and push exe).

and be sure to use compatible versions of Gcomm and Flash100, the latest one. Because the Gcomm protocol have changed through versions...

I hope this will help you.

Hmm... haven't tried pushing F5 on the comp and THEN pushing F2 on the calc, think that will make the difference?

Also, I think I have the latest edition of both the programs, but how would I check the version of Gcomm? And what version number are they up to now?

I'll try that tonight and post again with my results, wish me luck, that would save me LOTS of time overall with as much as I transfer things back and forth trying to learn ASM B)

Ok, I feel foolish  The pushing of the keys in that order (F5 on the PC and THEN F2 on the calc) worked, and I can transfer an entire full drive in about 16 seconds. Thanks for the help, hopefully I will have a game programed now that debugging won't take 48 seconds a trial!
