The latest one I have seen for sale is the 9950GB+. Is this basically a 9850GB+ with 32k of extra memory? What about the 9960, 9970, and 9990? Do any of them have a CAS?

Hi the cfx-9970g has a limited CAS (ALGBR mode). I think it's the best cfx around unless u need logistic regression (9850GB+ has this regression model but the 9970 has not). The 9970 has a 64k memory.

Ha, on our high-school leaver exams the 9970 isn't allowed because of its "CAS", this was a real laugh after reading how limited its symbolic manipulation is...It can't do binomial expansions with power more than about 3 or something silly, ie can't do ( a + b )^3....

I did some research and the 9960 and 9990 are french equivalencys of the 9850 models. One site said that the 9970 doesnt have a "Program Listing" feature. What do they mean by this?

9850G = 9930GT
9950G = 9960GT
9850GB+ = Graph 60 = 9940GT+
9950GB+ = Graph 65
9970G = Graph 80 = 9990GT

The 9970g doesn't have the program library that some gb+ models have. Besides the 9970 shows the size of every basic program it has in its memory. I'm not sure if other models show this information.

The Graph60 and Graph65 (9940-9960) have the library and show the sizz of the basic programs. I think the Graph30 and Graph35 don't show these infos

What is the program library? Is it a set of BASIC programs these calcs come with? I think they were/are doing something like this with the TI83 series.

yes : a periodic table, some programs with formulas (trigo, exp, derivative, integral, physics constants ...), some conversion programs, ...)

A periodic table in BASIC? Hmmm. I guess some of that stuff is pretty useful. If I really wanted that and I got a 9970 I could find someone with a 9850GB+ to help me out, right?
