The procedure is a little bit more difficult. The VARS key is used to recall the variables.
Switch to Stat mode
For Graph variables (a, b, c, r, r^2...)
1. fill the data into the columns, eg, List 1 for x and List 2 for y
2. press F2 (CALC)
3. press F3 (REG)
4. press F1 (X)
5. select F1 or F2 (the equation depends on your preferences)
6. press F6 (COPY)
7. select the graph variable, where the regression result should be stored e.g. Y1 and press EXE (the previous screen will appear)
8. press exit
9. put the cursor e.g. on List 3, position 1
10 press VARS key
11. press F3(STAT)
12 press F3 (Graph)
13 select the desired result (F1 for a, F2 for b, F1 on the 2nd screen for r) and press ENTER
14 the value is inserted into the cell
----------------------------------------------------
For X and Y results (n, mean x, mean y, sum x, sum y, ...)
1. fill the data into the columns, eg, List 1 for x and List 2 for y
2. press F2 (CALC)
3. press F2 (2VAR), you can scroll down to see all results; note the difference - for graph is used the F3 key
4. press EXIT
5. put the cursor e.g. on List 3, position 4 (the first 3 cells is supposed to be for a, b and r in my example)
6. press VARS key
7. press F3(STAT)
8. press F1 (X) pr F2 (Y)
9. select the desired result and press ENTER
10. the value is inserted into the cell
--------------------------------------------------
After switching to the RUN-MAT menu you can recall your result by using command: List 3
, List 3 and so onOPTIONALLY
You can recall the results in RUN-MAT mode without inserting the results into the list, but you still need to compute GRAPH or 2VAR first otherwise the Memory ERROR is displayed.
1. fill the data into the columns, eg, List 1 for x and List 2 for y
2. press F2 (CALC)
3. press F3 (REG)
4. press F1 (X)
5. select F1 or F2 (the equation depends on your preferences)
6. press F6 (COPY)
7. select the graph variable, where the regression result should be stored e.g. Y1 and press EXE (the previous screen will appear)
8. press exit
9. switch to RUN-MAT mode
10 press VARS key
11. press F3(STAT)
12. press F3 (Graph)
13. select the desired result (F1 for a, F2 for b, F1 on the 2nd screen for r) and press ENTER, optionally you can asign the result to the variable (n->A)
Similar procedure is for X and Y results.
