Hello,

Whenever I press the - button on my Casio fx-CG50, it always displays -Ans (thinking I want to continue with my previous calculation on the next line). I don't want it to do this as it is annoying when I just want to used some operand on a negative number. It may only seem like a small issue but it wastes a lot of time for me and I really REALLY want to disable it.

If anyone has any suggestions on solving this matter, please do not hesitate to reply!

Many thanks in advance,

Janet_the_egg.

Hi JanetLikesEggs

i'm not sure what exactly you want to do. If you want to get the last value of your calculation in "Run-Mateix" mode, press Shift - [(-)] (Ans), the you should get the last answer.

The easiest thing is to use the (-) key. It is thought to be a sign, not an operation.

Hi JanetLikesEggs

I found condition in which display Ans-.
Instead of - key, you can use (-) key.

There are two keys, - (subtraction sign) and (-) (negative sign).

in "Run-Matrix" mode, when you input and calculate by EXE, then press - key, as you wrote "Ans-" is displayed.

When you want to use "-" in very left of the next new line, the "-" should be negative sign but it should NOT be subtraction operand, so again you should use (-) key.

I hope this helps you.
