Has anyone played my Warrior game? (Can downloaded from CasioCorner in RPG category or from Casio Programs Avenue.) I'd like to hear comments on my game if anybody has tried it.
I also found a few bugs from the game while trying it on the CasioCom emulator. Now you should be able to play it with the CasioCom emulator if you first fix these two bugs:
in program 'towns
in line 93 reads: Locate 1,7,"GP:
while should read: Locate 1,7,"GP:"
in program 'battle
in line 462 reads: Text 1,46,"GOT GP
while should read: Text 1,46,"GOT GP"

It's quite interesting how these bugs don't have any effect in the calculator, but cause the emulator program to crash.

you wrote warrior, cool :D

I've tried to play your game in the past but I did get errors (I think a program was missing). perhaps you have fixed those errors now, I'll try it again.

any chance you can send me a fixed version, I'll play it and put it on my site. (crimsoncasio AT earthforge.com)

note : sometimes (in fact quite often) when you forget a " the program crashes with a Go Error when accessing with a Goto to a Lbl which is after the missed " (the calculator considers it like a expression into "" and not like a label)

You got errors when playing the game? I'd really like to know where and how they appearded exactly and on what calculator, because I tested the game a lot on my 9950G (not the plus) and it ran perfectly from the start to the end. Has anybody else found bugs from the game? Please report where and how they appeared. Those two bugs (see below) I founded only because they crashed the CasioCom emulator when playing the game with it.
And Yes you can you can put in on your website crimsoncasio but let's wait and see if people have found any other bugs so that I can fix them and release a fixed version. :) I'll send you the fixed version as soon as I get it ready.

Ok, I use an AFX for warrior so that might be part of it, if you'd like (and the AFX still has problems with the fixed version) I can try to make a AFX optimised version that will hopefully not have problems (hopefully  )

I'll download warrior a bit later (off casio corner) and find out what the problem was exactly.

It sounds like a great game, yet it is too big for my CFX-9850. Played my rpg's Zloop??? Star Wars Empire?? Kingdom??.

BTW: I'm an admin on CC now, so if you want a thing changed, please inform me.

Know what. I'm currently coding a 32 kb version of the game. :D
Although it's going to be a bit short when comparing to the 64 kb version. Anyway when I get it finished (maybe a week or so) I need someone to test it because I myself only have a 64 kb model. Anyone?? I also need to know what is the absolute max program size on the 32 kb models so that there's still about 2000 bytes free space after the installation?
By the way I like your rpg's casiokingdom :)

well, I just downloaded it again and I know what my problem was: their are pictures included in the .cat file that have color! the AFX cant recieve any picture from a color model... is their some way you could have them generated in-game (or a run once program that generates them on any model since the AFX will simply skip the color commands)?

or does anyone know of a converter that I can use?

well, i think the max size is about 28k, although you'll need to leave mem for draw mem, mat files, list files etc.

Anyway, i'll be glad to test your version on the 9850 if you want.

Well, I don't really see a way to make a program to generate those images: they are so detailed that the converter program's code would be huge! But I can convert the images to grayscale if that helps? Can AFX use grayscale pictures? I can send you those converted pictures if you like CrimsonCasio? Is bmp a good format? Beacause I can't get grayscale pictures in cat format easily.
Oh and I'll let you all know when I get the 32 kb version of Warrior finished.

lets try this: go to this topic and download the program: http://www.casiocalc...&hl=compression

its the first version of my CGF (for CFX/AFX) and it converts a picture file into a list, then it can be reassymbled on another calc, and since lists are AFX->CFX/CFX->AFX compatible it should be able to restore the picture in AFX format on my calc, at which point I can save it as a picture again, thus making a AFX version of your picture :). just send me the list file it produces and we will see if it works  (I knew their was a use for this thing  )

-------EDIT------
on second thought, I'll just send the picture files to my old CFX-9850 and do all the conversion myself, that would probably be better (but your welcome to try out the program  )

Zloop, is Warrior the only game you have made?? Have you made any smaller games, eg. that the 9850GB models can play??

BTW: I'm going to read your readme, to see what's so good about it, as Crimson doesn't want to tell.

I'm here again after weekend... :D
Yes the warrior is the first and only game that I have coded to the casio calculator. Actually it took me quite a while to finish it, because I wanted to make a quality game.
The 32 kb version of the Warrior is progressing just fine. Although I had to remove many elements from it (eg. dungeons) but I think I can get it ready for testing in a few days. :)

And thanks CrimsonCasio for the applauses :D

Okey everyone the Warrior for 32 Kb version beta version has been released! Casiokingdom should be testing it right now. I had remove many elements from it  when compressing 43000 bytes of program code to 17000. But anyway I hope I made a worthy game for the 32 kb model. :)

The biggest thing I've noticed so far without being able to convert the picture yet (I left my CFX at my other house) is that the text displays to fast at some parts. on the AFX the text is displayed instantly instead of typed out letter by letter so if you dont build in pauses it has problems. its an easy fix and so far its the only problem I've found.

BTW: The size is fine for those who don't need anything else on their calc or just one or two other programs.

This version of the Warrior was designed for the 32 KB models of CFX and there the size really does matter! I don't think you can play Warrior (either version) perfectly using an AFX: picture problem and some other problems. Well, at least not until CrimsonCasio gets the version for the AFX version finished...
Anyway I'm glad to hear that the game runs fine on 32 Kb model and the size of the game is fine. :) I'll also do some testing on my own and maybe in a few days I'll release the offical version. CrimsonCasio can you help putting the game (when fully tested) to sites you know?
