Hello, Casians. I'm Forty-Two(seana11). I've been active in the calc community for about 6 months. I got my first graphing calc, a TI-84+ SE, a year and 4 months ago. I became active on Cemetech around 6 months ago.

Yesterday, I got my first Casio calc, an fx-9860GII, and I'm looking into how to get around the OS. It seems quite different from the TIOS.

I'm a big <{GNULINUX}> fanatic, my favorite distro is Fedora. I also like to play the Worms-style, game Hedgewars. I'm generally in IRC on #cemetech, #ti, and #thebot on EFNet, and #fedora, ##java, and #hedgewars on freenode.

Welcome to casiocalc.org forty-two!

I hope you enjoy casiocalc.org. We aren't an extremely active community, but there is a lot of valuable info stored in these forums ;)

Yes, the casio OS is quite different than TI, but I think you'll like it.

PrizmWiki is a very good info source, and you may want to check out our tutorials here at casiocalc.org.

I also use <{GNULINUX}>, and my favorite distro so far is Ubuntu. Unlike a lot of people, I actually like the Unity interface. I don't know why.

I am also a member on Omnimaga, and you can find me at #omnimaga, #omnimaga-spam on efnet and #casiocalc on afternet.

I'm HOMER-16, although some of you may already know me from Omnimaga. :P

Hobbies, I guess, would be programming and gaming.

Interests, Singularity, programming, 3D Modeling, and Taokaka from BlazBlue. (Huge fanboy) :P

I mainly program for computers and I know C/C++ and Java primarily.

I recently got a Prizm from the training course promotion Casio is currently holding, so I figured I'd join some Casio related forums. :D

No because I only have a fx-9750gii. :P

I use Casio-BASIC, and have so far made one program: PRIMFACT (which determines if an inputted number is prime or not).

I plan to work on a radical simplify for my calc.

Sorry for not replying earlier, I was rather busy.

So, here is the program:
"ENTER NUMBER"
?→N
2→F
Lbl 1
N÷F→D
If D=Int D And D≠N And F≠N
Then "NOT PRIME."
"FACTOR:"
F
Else Goto 2
Lbl 2
If F>√N
Then "PRIME"
Stop
Else Goto 3
Lbl 3
Isz F
Goto 1

This isn't a very good method, for one thing. I plan on optimising it with loops and possibly another algorithm eventually.

I haven't made the square root simplifier yet, but I probably will make one before the end of march.

Hi NLthijs48 and welcome to UCF!

Revolution-FX indeed is a library that extents the Casio SDK, it is made by kucalc.
kucalc is an (inactive) admin at this forum, he has rank "Casio Maniac", he knows everything about the fx-9860.

In the library are faster drawing functions, greyscale engines, timer functions (Real-Time Clock) and also serial port communication (could be used for calc-to-calc gaming).
The site posted by flyingfisch is the project page of Revolution-FX:
http://revolution-fx.sourceforge.net/

But there is a newer version of his library at this topic:
http://www.casiocalc...?showtopic=3940
V 1.0 supports a function that displays text in sizes from 5 pixels to 9 pixels and drawing functions are improved.

Something about my game:
It is a bit based on snake, but the goal is reaching the other side of the screen, your tale won't disappear so you have to look out for your own tail.
Im also going to randomly spawn walls and some more things, but i didn't worked that out yet.
