needed anouther search FLASh process (that takes ~6secs each).
All other data is code & variables.
It is this big because it is based on macros and this is the major problem of the code.
I'll publish the latest executable and the PC Programs soon on my page.

It might not be too difficult ?

It seemed that I'd have to do a lot of changes concerning puhs and pops. And I have not
the time to change this many things.

also, macro should be used only to improve speed when it's needed, not anywhere...

Anyway, have the comp results been announced, as i can't find them. i have heaps of posts to read.
However after my exams results were sent to me, my parents have sort of banned me from programming and want me to concentrate on my studies more.
thus i must visit the UCF not very often.
i don't want to quit being a member, but i may need to in the future.
I probably won't manage my site as often either, as i am not going to make any new games, and only very few progs, if time permits.

download. If you haveQuestions please PM me. The sources will not be available
until the ones for <{GNULINUX}> are since CNC contains some parts of <{GNULINUX}> that are not
stable and I don't want to spread this code.
Here are the Links:
The Command & Conquer executable for the Calculator
The tiles file
The Sample map (designed like first level GDI map in C&C3)
The tiles editor
The Map Editor
Information on the map file format (incomplete)
Information on the tiles files
The change log (incomplete)
The first 3 files have to be uploaded to the calc.
It doesn't matter on what drives they are.
The latest tiles file on the flash is used (e.g. if you have one on L and one on Q the one on Q is used.)
The filename and extensions of tiles & map files don't matter.
CNC only uses the final map files. not the ones used by the editor for temporary saves.
CNC has a Console (press MENU)
CNC has an "emergency exit" press ESC at any point and calc will reboot.
The EXIT button in Main Menu doesn't work.
If there is an error when running the game (mouse movement in game kills calc) please notify me. Then I uploaded
the wrong executable.
All programs are ? 2003 Marcus Hohnel and shall not be published without this note.
There is no warranty for PROGRAMS in the RAM to stay alive. Please Back up before.
Thanks to BitTwise for his CMM.
All other things written by myself. No dos interrupts used except 7Ch for contrast.
Thanks to all who discovered the possibilitys of the calc.
Btw. Crimson ... what is this with the results. I think you should give the competition to sb. else if
you can't mannage it. It gets annoying... we want the results ...

Hope at least that all people that tried and stopped in the middle gained experience and the feeling of what is it like to make compilable code for the calc. Probably memory consumption and too ambitious (Basic language with its turtle speed well defines game limits, with Borland C you have the feeling that you can do everything) projects was the main reason of most of the failures. Well nothing is lost you can still try to complete the game or if you give up you probably ended with a bunch of usefull and ready to use ASM/C functions which will be very helpfull with future projects. I suggest extracting those most universal function and create your own ".c library file" (unless you aren't using someone else's code

BTW are there any AFX-compatible BASIC competition games already published (and what are good AFX-enabled Basic games) - I'd like to look at them. I now that Brazzucko released a cool one - where can I get it?

Please re-send us your games as soon as possible with the following words in an obvious place in the game:
2003 UCF Competition
XXX Place Winner
www.casiocalc.org
We will edit the XXX to your place.
We're waiting for the games to announce results.
Mail them to: hamoksha AT gawb.com with the UCF 2003 as a subject.
And make sure if your game needs any matrix/list pre-setup, add them to the file, and provide a read-me/help file with the 3 lines mentioned upwards.
The delay was because fantasy sent us his game in a .fxi format, and I wasn't able to convert it to .CAT until a few hours ago.
Please hurry up with your games.

Then when you all send us the titles done as you like (to suit the game's taste), we'll replace them.
Expect results in less than 24 hours (or less?
