dont know about fun to play, but if you are looking to using some of the stuff in it (while you are waiting for my tutorial) you can get tons of great examples.

But sure, I'll send it to you, just rember that is extreamly slow on the CFX series and on the 9850 you cant even go into a battle without getting a mem error. (it takes 29865 to play - battle)

When i tried to transfer it to my calc i got a message in FA-123 that said that converting from one calc type to another might cause errors, or loose of data. I pressed OK anyway, but when i ran "INIT" i got a Go Error :( . I went through the code to see if there could be some kind of error in some of the "Program" statements. But i couldn't find any. What other statements may cause this error message be caused by?

Anyway, thank you for sending me your game :) , i will try to fix the error. What do you think it is caused by (I own a CFX-9850Gb Plus WE)?

I know what the problem is: one of the programs name has a space in it and the FA-123 tends to remove enything after the space in the name, to fix this locate a the program "-D" and change it to "-D ENGEN".

this should fix the error, if not edit the program and tell me where the error ocures.

ok i had that problem too, but fixed it by changeing where it says "-D ENGEN" to -D rather than the other way round.

looks nice, too slow though, i managed to get the battle mode working on 32k calc by setting it to use th same pic file for battle as for the other one (but i have yet to fix it for when it comes out of battle)

in "-BATTLE2" add a call to "-STAGE" in the If GetKey=47 block, right before return. that should do it.

I told you it would be slow, it takes me 14 seconds to run accross the screen, it probably takes you 4 times as long.

Im about to go through the prog and find all instances of "-D ENGEN" and change them to "-D.ENGEN", that should fix future problems.

Well iliked the indoor scene best, but why don't make it faster by putting the bacground as "Picture 1" and just recall it in the game. I tried to do this myself but it didn't work. Then this trial code would be nice to make RPG's with (Like Pokemon...)! :D

it is in picture 1, on the afx you cant even tell that the background is being cleared (no flickering).

and I think Pokemon would be to big a project to do in basic.... mabey...

this is true, I did this to perserve compatiblity and to make sure the game would would still work if you tried to free up some memory by clearing the pictures. if I had done it the other way you would not be able to play the game since it is in monocrome and the picture files would be incompatible.

not very well. when you get out of battle mode it won't draw anything, not even the theta person thing.

it still seems to respond to key presses though. I can email it to you if you want

I didnt mean for you to use that engine  , it is most definitly made for the AFX. You can do much better making one for the CXF only, I just wanted to give you some ideas.

 It's easy to solv the problem whit different calcs models.......

If you have one AFX, FX, and if the CAT file was made in one CFX, simply select the calc model in the FA-123 as one CFX, them in your calc in the link program press F4, then F5, then F6, and your calc will be "compatible" whit the CFX cat files........ :)
