Is it possible to connect the SDK-compiler and Emulator with VisualStudio 2010 / 2012? I'd like to have syntax-highlighting and intellisense would be great, too (and I don't want to install notepad++).

I think if you set it up with GCC (anonymouse has done this), and then use virtual studio as the text editor, it would be possible.
Besides that, NPP really is an awesome tool, why don't you want to install it?
