Are there any Libraries for C or Delphi to do such a thing?

I have no idea when the next major OS will be released. Even if I did know, I wouldn't REALLY know.Yes... and the "automatic Ans", is not implemented yet... although we wait for it for a so long time...

Trust me, you are telling Casio what you want right here. BTW, I think everyone who has requested the auto ANS feature will be VERY happy when they the next major OS.I think there MUST be a way to tell CASIO what do we want. Just someone finds it, please.

I think everyone who has requested the auto ANS feature will be VERY happy when they the next major OS.
So you mean that this feature has been added to the next version?
Well, I have a suggestion: You enter a function into y1(x) and then draw it. After that if you enter another function y2(x) and tap "Draw" button again, the graph of y1(x) is also drawn again. It takes more time. It would be better if ClassPad just draw new function and keep the old one. By the way, if someone have been using ClassPad from version 1.0, you may notice that it takes more time to solve trigonometric equations right now than version 1.0, and I think it should be improved.
Merry Christmas

Softcal, you must have known something cause I was at Korea last week and saw the version 3 OS...1 word, awesome. i am happy to meet this fukaya guy, someone told me he was the leader in the team that make the firt graphci calculator..really?? anyway the version 3 is fanyastic, it has got fourier, lapalce, better statistic interface, tvm, and many cas bugs are fixed!! I like the fact now the manager can be open up like a windows appliaction, but no mac version yet!!!

Really??? This is wonderful!!!
But... why do you see the OS v3 before us? Is there any link?

I went to this conference in korea and this fukaya present the version 3 and I went to see his presentation. There he show us the fourier and laplace, also I notice the tvm when he open up the menu. I found a link to his abstract at here http://security.iwar...4/abstract.html
sorry I forgot to post my name just now.

Hmm it seems that those changes concern more the manager than the OS...I found a link to his abstract at here http://security.iwar...4/abstract.html

So the cat is out of the bag . I work with Casio so I cannot disclose anything confidential. Now that Fukaya has shown some of the new feature in OS 3.0, I can (at least limited to what he has shown in Korea last week).Softcal, you must have known something cause I was at Korea last week and saw the version 3 OS...1 word, awesome. i am happy to meet this fukaya guy, someone told me he was the leader in the team that make the first graphic calculator..really?? anyway the version 3 is fantastic, it has got Fourier, Laplace, better statistic interface, tvm, and many cas bugs are fixed!! The Manager has a re-sizable window. You can also copy and paste between Windows and the Manager and it translates between the ClassPad characters and Unicode. You can even copy an individual 2D math expression and paste it as a graphic.
As Samuel has mentioned, the ClassPad will have a better CAS with more functions, including financial functions like TVM. And for everyone who is wondering, yes this is for both the ClassPad and the Manager.

Let's just hope that this time we will see a real CAS improvement. My list of CAS problems that cannot be solved by the current CAS is large already...As Samuel has mentioned, the ClassPad will have a better CAS with more functions, including financial functions like TVM.
Btw, support for TVM (and financial functions in general) should not be considered as serious "CAS improvement", at least in my opinion. These things are usually included in spreadsheets like Excel, and, for god's sake, Excel cannot be compared with a CAS. Mathematica, for example, has a very strong CAS (maybe the most powerful today), but does not support financial functions, and it does well: a CAS is designed for real mathematics.
Merry Christmas to all ClassPad forumers.

Thanks for the correction. These are not CAS functions. They are numeric functions. You can use many of them in expressions, but they are by no means CAS functions.Btw, support for TVM (and financial functions in general) should not be considered as serious "CAS improvement", at least in my opinion.

In case anyone thinking why announce in Korea it is because casio is a big sponsor of this conference. this is obvious because they get the best place for the exhibition while texas and mathematica are smack upstair in a more incovenience place.
btw, fukaya also show us the parametric 3d graphing where now we can do 3d graphs defined parametriclly. So I saw the following imrpovement and enhancement over there.
3d parametric graphing, tvm, improved advanced statistic interface (btw the os 2.2 stats is really lousy!), some cas bugs fixes, laplace and fourier add in, the manager opens up in full window. BUT, still no mac version!!!!!!!!

3D parametric graphing, Fourrier and Laplace transforms are really welcome. However, I'm curious about the "improved statistics interface" you mentioned. Does it means that statistical computations are done via functions? I hope so, since in all OSes so far statistical computations are done via commands, and the results are simply printed on the screen. If you need them for further computations, you have to access system variables (it works, but it's really annoying).3d parametric graphing, tvm, improved advanced statistic interface (btw the os 2.2 stats is really lousy!), some cas bugs fixes, laplace and fourier add in, the manager opens up in full window. BUT, still no mac version!!!!!!!!
I'm also really curious about "CAS bugs fixes". Can you name some? Currently, symbolic integration has several bugs (simple integrals are left unevaluated, or CP spends too much time to evaluate them, limit computations are too poor, solving systems of equations has annoying constraints, etc, etc, etc...)
Everybody knows that CP Basic has serious limitations (a function is limited to only one statement, no real subroutines are implemented, string functions are implemented via commands, not to mention that CP Basic is very slow, compared to CPLua). You didn't mentioned anything about CP Basic and I'm afraid that there is no CP Basic improvement in the new OS. I hope I'm wrong, but, if I have to bet for it, I bet that CP Basic is left unchanged .

As for the CAS bugs fix, this was what fukaya claimed and he just mentioned them in the talk and I have no interest in Cas actually so I did not listen but I think I heard him saying things about symbolic integration...Softcalc??
Programming? I do not think I have heard anything about it at fukaya talk. So i don't know. ...softcalc??
Overall I can say that v 3 is definitely a very major upgrade (I do have a cp300 with v2.2 and the manager 2.0) when we compare it to v2.2. One thng I am curios about fukaya is that he talked a lot about the laplace and fourier add-in. no doubt it is very powerful cause my favorite in university is also on functional transformation. He did not talk much about tvm, and the new cas fixes. although this diane, his assistance spoke of the improved statistic at her talk.
BTW, they have mentioned about releasing versin 3 manager within the next 3-6 months. BUT, as far as I know, it is not a free upgrade for current cp owner.

The upgrade for the Manager might not be free (but I am not sure of this). As you've noticed, the new Manager is very different from 2.2. It is more than just an emulator now.
For all you worriers, there is no reason to get all worried when nothing has been announced. I have always assumed that this would be a free upgrade. Until I hear differently I suggest everyone else do the same.

2. Why don't you register, samuel?
3. If it has released, why I can't find it on classpad.net? Isn't it the first place that contains OS updates?
4. Thanks!

2. It has been not released YET and I concur Wait for 3 months or so.
3. I hope everybody is happy caused it is REALLY a very major upgrade
4. I am not registering cause I'm a school teacher and would not post a lot.
5. Great thanks to Casio for the New OS.
6. Although it may not be free but I'll buy if the price is right.
7. The OS 3 does warrant a New Thread especially the OS 3 manager, it is beyond an emulator!
8. Thanks to CasioCalc.org. Happy New Year
This OS 3 is still suppose to be a secret!!!

I think it should be free since Casio says "You can download free of charge but you are required to sign up as a user before download", and I see there is no reason that the OS isn't free for ClassPad user.
Happy new year . Best wishes for you and your family.
