pop3 works. thank you a lot!

I updated my site and it works again. If there is a link in the "links & partners" section missing please pm me and
I'll add it. Please note that if you want to download sth. you have to rightclick on it and select sav as since
the zips are hosted on geocities.

ok, I'm finally starting up my official hosting for $$$ (dont wory, casio sites are still free). here is a demo of what the site will look like, suggestions are welcome: http://www.earthforge.com/demo.jpg

I've already got one person up and running and two more interested, some advise on what I should charge would be nice too (I'm offering managed hosting and normal hosting, with all the features you guys can have plus a few more that will cost extra for me). I pay $5 a month for my account and an extra $5 for each gig of space I need, so there is virtually no way for me to not make a profit.

looks good!

Charge?
fur unmannaged:

100MB + 1GB Traffic = 10$ / Month? Whis is still a nice feature with all the
scripts and so on you have.

huhn: $10 huh, what do you think about managed hosting? I was thinking a good sized start up fee plus a slightly higher monthly fee.

Crimson, beware that if you plan on offering hosting to others it has to be OK with your hosts' TOS. They wouldn't mind for some friends for free, but charging for hosting in space they are selling to you could really piss them off. I would advise getting a reseller plan from somewhere else if your current host doesn't allow it, or if you really wanted you could get a dedicated server from somewhere.

You could simply try it.
For managed hosting? I don't know.

What exactly do you want to mannage. (I mean what do you want to do? create the site and maintain it)

I've a question to the e-mail account.

Do I have a limitation like that I can send only up to 10 mails
to the smae adresse at one day? I sent kingdom 12 Mails and
only the first 10 seem to have made through.

i have set up a file manager on earthforge, it is very nice and you can use it with or instead of ftp. if you want to have access to this file manager just send me a PM with a login and password.

here is a small demo, login and pass are both "demo1"

i dont know why its been going up and down so much lately, i assume they are changing something on the server and having problems with it.

the file manager is still a bit buggy and due to the down time i havent been able to figgure out why. the main bug is that it wont let you open any folder but your root folder... if i cant figgure it out i may change to a diffrent program.

anyway, send me a password and i'll set up an account for you, its better than nothing in the mean time.
