when the move is over http://65.254.50.194...hfor/calconeon/ will become calconeon.earthforge.com, so if you want to do a major update now is the time

also, i'll see if i can still set up redirects on the old earthforge, if so i'll have all the old pages re-direct to the new ones.

and which mysql-database will be then the only one? because my database on calconeon.earthforge.com isnow newer as the database on http://65.254.50.194...hfor/calconeon/... (guestbook-entries,...)

lol, i know... i got a message from my host today saying the move was compleat, but they told me i had to update the DSN myself... I sent them a message back reminding them that _they_ are in change of my DNS and that they said they would take care of it... i await a reply.

yes, they said that they are working on it and that they just need some time to get it done, im also taking this oppertunity to renew my domain name.

i have a partial fix to the problem though, i'll be setting up redirects on the old server to redirect all hits to (name).earthforge.com to http://65.254.50.194/~earthfor/(name) so your old addresses will be useable by the public again.

Ok, I finally got ticked off and sent a angry letter to my host, instead of just asking that they please look into the problem I _Demanded_ that they fix it at once or give me a good reason why they couldnt, including what the problem was and what date they expeced to fix it by. in response they sent me back an e-mail about 2 hours later anouncing that the problem had been fixed...

why must i be a jerk to get things done?
ah well, as long as im being a jerk I'd like you all to do intensive stress tests on your sites, make sure everything is working as well as you could possabily hope, including, but not limited to: Databases, page load times, page not displayed errors, problems with the domain name ((name).earthforge.com), etc... if anything isnt working please report it in detail and i'll give my host the full list.

no, the domain should now be pointed to SPEEDY only, you can check by going to http://65.254.50.194...hfor/calconeon/ and then calconeon.earthforge.com, they should be exactly the same if you change things

please tell me if there are still problems, I got to talk to an administrator yesterday and she fixed the problem immediately , i now believe that they were just plauged with a single increadably incompetent support guy...
